With the release of Halo Infinite getting ever closer, the excitement and hype for the game are palpable across the video game landscape. The excitement has now reached across the gaming world and into the tech one as Elon Musk revealed recently that his favorite console game is “only Halo.” Microsoft executives got wind of this and are hoping for a collaboration on a Cybertruck Warthog.

Aaron Greenberg, Xbox general manager of marketing, responded to Musk’s tweet about Halo saying that a “Tesla x Halo collab needs to happen at some point.” He further clarified in a later tweet that while there is currently no collaboration between the two companies, it would be “a dream collab for [him] and many fans [he knows].”

A fan replying to Musk posted a picture of a mock-up Cybertruck Wathog pointing out the similarities in design and citing the original Warthog as a clear inspiration for the truck.

Musk has yet to respond to Greenberg publicly about a Tesla x Halo collaboration, but who knows. He seems to be in the news frequently enough that if something is in the works, we’ll hear about it eventually.

This would not be the first Warthog to be made in real life, however. Back in 2007 when we thought a potential Halo movie was on the way, WETA workshop created a fully driveable Warthog, among other props, for a live-action Halo movie. While we never got the movie, Bungie made a handful of live-action shorts with the props to promote Halo 3‘s release.

There have also been rumors circulating the internet that the Xbox One version of the game has been canceled, but there has been no official word on that yet.
